- the God gamer Review added: 2018.04.28★ ★ ★ ★ ★After trying their fantastic steaks, we decided to give the Sunday Roast a go. We were not disappointed! The carvery was absolutely spot on and the puds were delicious as well. For those that like a walk before lunch (wellies recommended if it has been wet) cross the road and walk between the houses, cross the field and walk up the hill /road until it turns to the left and then go through the metal five bar gate on right. Walk down and follow wood to left and then over the stile and walk down through woods. At the bottom walk diagonally right and follow the path through the field and woods and you will come out at the main road. Just walk right to get back to the pub. Or park in car park and walk right following the main road, cross the road. At the end of the wooden fence walk down into the woods and follow the path, when you get to the second field walk diagonally left to the stile at the top and up through the woods to the top field. Walk with woods on left - there is a great view, you can walk left to the gate and down the hill road or down through the fields to the main road. Then there is a great Roast waiting for you. They are always busy so you'll need to book.
