- Sally Coughlan Review added: 2018.01.08★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Shocking experience with Classic Carpets Bristol and I take no pleasure in writing this review. Two months after having several carpets fitted a 5 cm outline of a square became noticeable in the middle of the lounge. Classic Carpets sent an inspector who found a patch had been inserted in the carpet and not attributed to manufacturer. The patch matches the wear and pile of the surrounding carpet. Tristan Chalmers, Director of Classic Carpets denies their fitters would have done this. What a coincidence the patch has been heat seamed in the vicinity of the area where the fitters were using heat equipment to join a section of carpet in a small recess in the room. Our own inspector found fibres next to the patch which have melted in contact with heat.No response was received from 2 Special Delivery letters, however after I posted a one star review on Classic Carpets Bristol Facebook page all reviews have been removed. There is no longer a facility to review the company. Classic Carpets refuse to replace the carpet and we are left with a ruined carpet.
